WHO AM I?
I am an editor with over 15 years’ experience and a background in publishing (editing and production). Most recently, I have been working as the Marketing and Communications Manager for Age UK Westminster. I have also helped small businesses to promote their services.
In the past, I worked as an Office Manager for several years and have managed publishing, school and evaluation projects.
I am also a managing editor of a magazine and a prize administrator, having successfully secured funding from the Arts Council. I studied English and Creative Writing to Master’s level. I also completed a course in 'Proofreading for Editors' at the Publishing Training Centre and have a proven track record of editing various types of documents to a professional standard. I have worked as an EFL teacher and freelance proofreader and editor.
I have two traditionally published novels, Ellipsis (Sparkling Books) and Volta (Aurora Metro Books). I am the winner of the Virginia Prize for fiction 2020 and also have poetry out with Broken Sleep, Hem Press, Knives Forks and Spoons and more. I run an online magazine (streetcake), a previously funded writing prize (ACE), and a writing programme for mums (MumWrite), as well as one-off workshops, which all involve feedback and development for writers.
